David Walsh, President, CEO and Chairman, GENBAND
The fring Alliance is a year old so it’s time to get an update from David Walsh, President, CEO and Chairman of parent, GENBAND. The idea was to give CSPs the ability to fight back against IP service providers via a white label offering, garnished with revenue generating applications and built on a global, federated user base complete with a universal directory. To get there the alliance needed just the right number of carriers (not too many to bog the development process, not too few to rob it of credibility) with the idea of working through and defining how the fring Alliance was going to work. That plan worked out, says David, and now the alliance is ready for its next phase.
