New VivaMail service delivers email communications anywhere and from any device

In December,VIVACOM is making available a professional solution for managing email communication, calendars and client information, that will be available anywhere, from every device and at any time. The Bulgarian Telecommunications company’s new service, VivaMail, is based on the Microsoft Communication Services platform and will be available to its mass market, business, government and wholesale customers. Based on similar solutions already implemented on the world market, Microsoft estimates the application will lower costs for email communication for small and medium enterprises by 50 percent.

VivaMail combines three complementary services - professional email hosting, mobile email and access to mobile internet. With no need for initial investments in hardware and software for managing email communications, as well as few further expenses for maintenance, VivaMail enables companies to communicate more flexibly and reduces their general communication costs.

VivaMail is available on a low monthly tariff and a data package of between BGN 15 and 30 per month including up to 1000 MB traffic, which can be used for email correspondence and to access to internet via a mobile phone, unlike other such packages on the market. VivaMail is also compatible with the majority of smart phones available.

“Despite well-developed business communications in Bulgaria, there are only 55.000 people who have mobile access to their work emails. There are only 4,000 of them at VIVACOM. We believe that the platform and the offering from VivaMail will double this number in less than 3 years,” said commercial director, VIVACOM, Alexander Dimitrov.

‘VivaMail will allow companies to focus entirely on their business instead of managing their email infrastructure,’ he added.

“With one of the most advanced networks in Bulgaria, VIVACOM is one of the most innovative telecoms operators we work with in Europe.  Our partnership is based on providing software and services to Vivacom to help them develop very competitive offerings for their broad customer base,” said Pavlos Kyriacou, Strategic Alliance Manager, Microsoft Central & Eastern Europe.  “The maturity of VIVACOM’s network enabled us to work with them in cooperation with our regional hosting infrastructure and sales execution partner, Central Europe on Demand, to deliver a bespoke version of Microsoft Hosted Exchange which would appeal to their business customers by providing them a wide choice of new and compelling services to increase productivity and communication even when away from the office.”

VivaMail allows clients an access to their business emails and their contacts at any moment through their mobile phone, Microsoft Outlook or through a web browser. Using ‘push -mail’ technology, e-communications are delivered in real time directly to the mobile phone just as they would be to the PC. The Microsoft-based platform allows users to preview file attachments such as Microsoft Word (DOC), Excel (XLS), Power Point (PPT), Adobe (PDF), as well as (JPG, GIF, BMP), etc. Calendar, tasks, contacts list and notes are automatically synchronized between the computer and the phone.

The service is easy to administer and email boxes can be set to allowing for virtual management so that a company’s IT department can be redeployed on more important business projects. In addition to the low monthly tariff, any MB of data used over and above the inclusive amount are charged at a reduced rate, making the offering very appealing to smaller businesses. VivaMail has an excellent spam and malicious software protection as well as 24/7 customer service available by dialing the number 123. The only condition for the use of the service is for clients to use SIM cards on VIVACOM business plans.
