Search giant Google hasn’t rolled out an official Over the Air (OTA) update just yet, but thanks to XDA Developers, Android’s latest Gingerbread Android 2.3.3 is now available via a manual update for the Nexus One and Nexus S devices.
The popular Android forum has posted a link to install the Gingerbread update.
The whole process is expected to take around 10 minutes.
Android Central has added step-by-step directions on how to install it on both the Nexus S and the Nexus One.
In other news, a recent tweet posted by mobile operator Three replying to a user asking if they will be “releasing Android 2.3 for the original HTC Desire?” suggests that we will be seeing an update soon. Three UK tweeted back saying, “Yes we will but we don't have timescales yet :-).”
