Regardless if you are working late or in another time zone, a new iPad and iPhone application will allow you to read a bedtime story to your loved ones no matter the location - well as long as there is a WiFi connection.

Nursery Rhymes with StoryTime is an interactive app featuring characters from Humpty Dumpty, Jack & Jill and Three Blind Mice. The app uses StoryTime technology, which enables parents to remotely read bedtime stories to their kids across iOS devices.

Developed by Atomic Antelope of Alice for the iPad fame and ustwo, creators of MouthOff and Granimator apps, the pop up book uses Box2D, an open source 2D physics engine for games.

In a rather grim portrayal of its use in a promotional video published on YouTube - a father working abroad is shown reading a bed time story to his toddler daughter at home.  “In a frantic modern world where business trips, expeditions and sometime separations draw parents further from their children, Nursery Rhymes with StoryTime brings them back together, said Chris Stevens, CEO Atomic Antelope.

Launched barely 24 hours ago on Apple’s App Store, Nursery Rhymes with StoryTime is already in the top 25 paid apps category at number 21.

Stay tuned for our Press/Play video with the developers next week on TelecomTV.
