It's 2013! Let the madness begin! Google's chairman, Eric Schmidt wants to get as close as possible to North Korea's repressive communist dynasty. So, he's on his way to Pyongyang, a city so bleak that it makes Irkutsk look like Las Vegas back when Siegfried and Roy topped the bill there. No he doesn't really, although the mind boggles at the thought. He talks to Troy Carter, Gaga's manager and founder and CEO of the Atom Factory, which provides the social media smarts behind the good lady's Little Monsters site, subtitled "Share your passion and creativity in a community full of art, acceptance, monsters and Gaga'. Troy says the idea was to strip out the organisations standing between Gaga and the fans and between the fans themselves. It's interesting stuff and he tells Martyn all about it.

This interview was conducted in London at FT Innovate 2012, an international conference designed to showcase ways of employing new technologies and big data to unlock new markets.

Facebook's stock price came under sustained attack from its own employees yesterday as they rushed to dump millions of shares and cash-in as quickly as they could by divesting themselves of a dwindling asset. Essentially, this was a vote of no confidence in Facebook by employees of the company itself and two more such "votes" will take place before the end of the year. Not good. Martyn Warwick reports. There are many faults one can find with Facebook and facebookishness (and here at TelecomTV we've been enthusiastic fault-finders for quite a while now), but perhaps the most egregious Facefault, apart from the disastrous IPO, is its descent into rampant commercialisation. As a result, the 'like' is in danger of inflating like a 1920s German Mark. By I.D. Scales. (3)

Facebook's languishing share price fell yet further when the first 'lock-up' period expired and insiders got their chance to sell off and get out of the stock. A further 1.91 BILLION shares will flood the market between October, November and December and the stock price will reflect this glut. Some analysts now say that Facebook shares will be $10 by the end of the year and $2.50 in 12 months time. By Martyn Warwick (0)
