NEC delivered a secure Cloud solution to integrate and optimize information management for the Ministry's education system. Utilizing desktop virtualization and IP telephony, this solution improves the efficiency of managing the administrative and academic processes within the educational institutions. It also provides users quick and easy access to Internet, email, file sharing via Web portals, and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) telephony service.

Travel is often cited as one of the most costly expenses for corporates and organisations. But it is costly for the environment too, with around 40% of travel-related carbon emissions coming from business-related trips. The use of high-quality telepresence can vastly reduce the need for physical travel, with one US study projecting that changes enabled by broadband networks could save the equivelant of 11% of US oil imports through transportation substition or "virtualisation".
