Notwithstanding the fact that in the US the Best Buy retail chain managed to shift 200,000 of HP's now discontinued TouchPad tablet computers over the course of the weekend, the sudden popularity of the devices has nothing to do with their utility or popularity with consumers and everything to do with price - US$99! It seems no-one anywhere is willing to pay full whack for a tablet - unless it's an iPad, as Martyn Warwick reports. (1)
