We spend billions of dollars a year to continually accelerate and improve your network experience. If you’re an AT&T customer, first, thank you. Second, you should be thrilled to know you’re using the best and the fastest wireless network in the nation. And our investments in 5G Evolution have helped to get us there.

5G Evolution is a lot more than just a name. It is truly the foundation and the launchpad for 5G and it has billions of dollars of technology investments behind it, including:

  • More spectrum
  • An upgraded core network
  • More fiber to our cell towers
  • New cellular radios and updated towers that are now software upgradable for when 5G is ready
  • Updated network equipment to help provide the benefits on the latest device features
  • Deployment of Advanced LTE capabilities like carrier aggregation, 4X4 MIMO, and 256 QAM technologies.

All that translates into a noticeably faster experience in areas where 5G Evolution service is available – up to 2x faster than standard AT&T LTE. Our investments in our network are paying off. AT&T has been recognized by Global Wireless Solutions (“GWS”) as America’s Best Network in 2018 based on the most comprehensive wireless network test to date(1). Speedtest® by Ookla data also recognized AT&T as fastest wireless network in the nation in Q1 2019(2). These awards – and the feedback from our customers – reflect the real benefits of experiencing 5G Evolution.

Our competitors don’t like these facts. Some pundits and reporters aren’t fans of the name, either. But we believe the performance of our network speaks for itself.

Our AT&T customers will experience these benefits at no incremental charge to their existing wireless plans.  If you don’t yet have AT&T as your wireless service provider, come give us a try and experience our 5G Evolution network for yourself.
