21 September 2016, PT/EXPO, China – ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a major international provider of telecommunications, enterprise and consumer technology solutions for the Mobile Internet, today launched the industry’s first access-layer 100G packet transport product oriented to 5G bearing, the ZXCTN 6180H. The product adopts a compact, highly integrated design, supports large-capacity, low-delay forwarding and 40GE/100GE networking, and bears Pre5G and 5G access-layer packet transport services.

5G base station increases bandwidth demands by between 10-100 times than that of 4G. It supports such applications as broadband mobile communications, mass IoT and high-reliability, low-delay input-output virtualisation (IOV), and has high requirements for bearer network bandwidth, delay and software defined networking (SDN). The ZXCTN 6180H is oriented to Pre5G/5G and integrated service access, and applied to the access layer. It is 3U high, supports 320G switching capacity and provides 25GE/40GE/100GE interfaces. It supports resource slicing multiservice isolation, dynamic large buffering, low-delay forwarding and other key technologies, and meets the requirements of the long-term evolution of operator services.

It supports optical channel data unit (ODUx) based service isolation and ensures that different types of services are independent of each other, and thus do not conflict with each other. With service quality management (SQM) technology, it provides service-level delay, jitter, throughput, and other real-time measurement modes to precisely feedback customer quality of service (QoS). 6180H also evolves to support SDN and is loaded with software to achieve smart, centralised network control and meet 5G-oriented network architecture requirements.

According to the industry analyst firm IHS Technology, and its market analysis for the second half of 2015 – “Macrocell Mobile Backhaul Equipment”, ZTE is ranked second in Asia-Pacific market share for Ethernet mac[rocell mobile backhaul for 2015. ZTE adheres to serving global operators with innovative products and solutions. So far, ZTE bearer network products serve over 600 operators in more than 130 countries and regions.
