Elisa is acquiring sedApta Group, an international manufacturing software business, headquartered in Italy. The SedApta Group employs more than 500 people and serves over 1,500 customers. In 2023 sedApta Group’s revenue was EUR 49 million. The sedApta Group and Elisa IndustrIQ have been working in partnership for three years and Elisa has had a minority shareholding (19%) in sedApta Group before the acquisition.

The acquisition follows Elisa’s strategy to grow digital services internationally. It accelerates the growth of Elisa IndustrIQ’s industrial software business and strengthens its foothold in the manufacturing customer base in Italy, France and Germany. sedApta will become part of Elisa IndustrIQ. The acquisition is expected to be finalised within a few weeks.

With the acquisition, the customers of both Elisa IndustrIQ and sedApta will enjoy an expanded product portfolio, greater geographical coverage, and improved local support. This merger enhances our ability to deliver more comprehensive solutions and exceptional service to our diverse clientele. For example, the Warehouse Management System from Elisa IndustrIQ Finland is already added to the solution portfolio of sedApta.

“The acquisition of sedApta significantly strengthens our software offering in industrial automation and perfectly aligns with our strategy to grow international digital services. By integrating sedApta’s innovative solutions and talented team, we are poised to deliver even greater value to our customers and stakeholders”, says Topi Manner, CEO of Elisa.

“The last three years working together have demonstrated that sedApta is a great commercial and cultural fit to our existing Elisa IndustrIQ business. This acquisition opens an opportunity for geographical expansion for sedApta as part of wider Elisa IndustrIQ. SedApta’s strong position in Italy creates growth potential for other businesses of Elisa IndustrIQ in the Italian market”, says Henri Korpi, EVP for International Digital Services at Elisa.

“With the acquisition we will be able to further grow internationally. Together we are also stronger to invest in product development, especially in the areas of analytics and AI. We look forward to the exciting opportunities that lie ahead as we embark on this new chapter together”, says Giorgio Cuttica, CEO of sedApta.
