- Following the agreement published earlier in October, Elisa has now completed the acquisition of sedApta Group.
- The two companies had been strategic partners for the last three years prior to the acquisition.
This acquisition follows Elisa’s strategy to grow digital services internationally. It accelerates the growth of Elisa IndustrIQ’s industrial software business and strengthens its foothold in the manufacturing customer base in Italy, France and Germany.
sedApta Group is an international manufacturing software business headquartered in Italy that employs more than 500 people. In 2023, sedApta Group’s revenue was EUR 49 million, and it serves 1,500 customers.
Change in leadership
With the finalisation of the acquisition, sedApta’s founder and long-serving Chief Executive Officer Giorgio Cuttica will step down and continue as a Senior Advisor, Elisa IndustrIQ. His visionary leadership and unwavering dedication have been instrumental in sedApta’s success and growth. Benedetta Cuttica, sedApta’s current Chief Technology Officer, will be the new CEO from 1 November 2024.
“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Giorgio for our productive partnership over the last three years, and I welcome Benedetta as the new CEO of sedApta and as a member of the Elisa international digital services leadership team. I look forward to fruitful collaboration as we build the next stage of our business together in existing markets and new ones with our combined product portfolio and new product innovations”, says Henri Korpi, EVP of Elisa’s International Digital Services.
“Bringing together our combined strengths and the expertise of our people, we will be in a stronger position than ever to serve our clients – old and new. I am particularly excited about the innovations in AI and analytics that we can bring to our customers”, says Benedetta Cuttica, soon to be CEO of sedApta.
The organisation will continue to serve all its clients as normal while the integration process gets underway in the coming weeks and months.
