To embrace cloud native will require substantial changes to a telco’s internal working practices and cultures, but what is so different and how far apart are telco’s current practices from what’s needed with cloud native? Do telcos need to reengineer entire workforces, or is it sufficient to focus on specific teams and specific projects? And what about partners and suppliers; how does cloud native impact the vendor ecosystem? This area was identified in last year’s inaugural Cloud Native Telco event as perhaps the most important cloud native issue facing telcos… Is that still the case, and if so, what can we do as an industry to address it?
