Cloud Native Telco Q&A show day two

The Live Q&A Show was broadcast at the end of Day Two of the Cloud Native Telco summit. TelecomTV’s Guy Daniels was joined by industry guest panellists for this question and answer session. Among the questions raised by our audience were:

• If telco software engineers need to be multidisciplinary will this mean smaller teams, or do telcos risk stretching their resources too thinly?

• Is cloud-native truly the best approach for all telecoms use cases now?

• What is the relationship between cloud-native and APIs?

• The rate of innovation and development of cloud-native tools is much faster than standards-based telecoms solutions. How is it possible to align work on these two activities?

• How can we integrate security into the entire cloud-native development lifecycle without stifling innovation?

• Will regulations (especially sovereignty ones) evolve to allow operators to select vendors and solutions openly, to avoid being restricted to certain vendor solutions which may not be fully cloud native?
