EE today announced that it is the exclusive direct UK network partner for the Pixel and Pixel XL, the first phones by Google. EE provides the best network experience for Google’s first handsets with WiFi Calling, 4G Calling , and the UK’s fastest mobile download speeds using its CAT 9 4G network – providing the very best Google experience on the move.
Available to pre-order from 4th October through EE stores, on the phone and www.ee.co.uk, the 5” Pixel and 5.5” Pixel XL feature a simple and intuitive user interface, as well as the latest version of Android’s 7.1 (Nougat) operating system. The sleek devices feature an aluminium body, Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4 on the front and back to make them damage resistant, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor which offers improved power performance, as well as a 12MP main camera with large 1.55 micrometre (μm) pixels, so users can take crisp photos, even in low light.
Both handsets also come with unlimited cloud storage , so customers can use the UK’s biggest and fastest network to upload their photos and videos in full resolution and never run out of space. Smart Storage removes old photos that are already backed up when space is needed, which means users never have to delete one special moment to have another.
Pixel and Pixel XL are compatible with EE’s 4G+ LTE-A Cat 9 network which means they are faster on EE than on any other UK network. Only on EE will customers also get WiFi Calling , allowing them to call and text in more places across the UK, as well as 4G Calling , so they can continue to download at full 4G speeds whilst on the phone.
Available for pre-order immediately in Very Silver and Quite Black, the Pixel and Pixel XL will provide the best way to use Google services on a mobile device.
Pixel and Pixel XL will be the first handsets to feature Google Assistant , an advanced voice activated virtual personal assistant, as well as apps Duo and Allo , for simple video calling and smart messaging made to keep users close with the people that matter – and EE’s network will allow them to access these in more places than any other network across the UK.
EE will also offer the Google Daydream View headset, which turns the Pixel and Pixel XL into an immersive VR device. Users can explore new worlds, kick back in their own personal VR cinema, and play games that put them in the centre of action. Google Daydream View VR headset will be available to pre-order from EE on 20 October.
The Pixel and Pixel XL are available to pre-order from EE on a range of price plans. The Pixel is free on a £50.99 a month, 24 month 4GEE plan , which comes with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 10GB of mobile data a month for existing customers. The Pixel XL is also available free on a £55.99 a month, 24 month plan, and comes with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 10GB of mobile data a month for existing customers. 4GEE Plan customers receive unlimited minutes, texts and 500MB of data a month for use abroad in the EU. Alternatively, for just £5 per month more, customers can get Pixel and Pixel XL on 4GEE Max plans giving people access to the UK’s fastest 4G speeds, and inclusive access to the BT Sport App for the duration of the plan. What’s more, customers can use their plan’s call, text and data allowance to ‘roam like home’ when abroad in the EU. Customers who pre-order before October 20th will receive a £50 Google Play voucher they can use to purchase content from the Google Play store.
The Pixel and Pixel XL will be available to consumer and business customers.

As Google’s exclusive network partner we’re providing the best experience for the Pixel, ensuring our customers can use Google Assistant to check ferry times in the Shetlands or instantly upload videos photos of puffins on the Isle of Scilly.”
Offering 4G coverage across more than two-thirds of the UK’s landmass (more than any other), EE’s network has the most capacity as well as the fastest upload and download speeds. EE has also committed to expanding 4G coverage to reach 95% of the UK landmass by 2020 – further than any mobile network has ever gone.
