Solutions and Strategies Roundtable
Cloud native doesn’t refer to specific technologies, and is as much about working methodologies and cultures. However, the evolution to cloud native does have an impact on technology and does play a significant part in shaping transformation strategies. And it’s this impact we want to discuss today. Are telcos too big and slow to take bets on unproven or cutting edge technology - they are unable to make rapid course corrections, so they will always go with older, more stable technology, thereby preventing them from gaining a competitive edge? Is the telecoms industry too fixated on Kubernetes and containers as a panacea to all their technology challenges? And is agreeing on a ‘common language’ still the most important step needed in the evolution of telecoms to cloud native?
