A smart evolution strategy requires to learn from this experience to guide future steps, not only because it is essential to alleviate the identified pain points, but also to rely on this practical knowledge when trying to identify all kind of risks, roadblocks, and diversions ahead.

Dr Diego R. Lopez joined Telefonica I+D in 2011 as a Senior Technology Expert and is currently in charge of the Technology Exploration activities within the GCTIO Unit. Diego is focused on network virtualization, infrastructural services, network management, new network architectures, and network security. Diego chairs the ETSI ISGs on Network Function Virtualization and Permissioned Distributed Ledgers
Marie-Paule Odini
Distinguished Technologist, HPE Communications & Media Solutions, Hewlett Packard Enterprise
Marie-Paule Odini is Distinguished Technologist in HPE Telecom Division focused on customer innovation and emerging trends in the communication industry including NFV, SDN, IoT, AI and 5G. She holds a worldwide position and drives technical discussions towards 5G with customers and inside HPE around strategy and roadmaps.
Active in industry forums and standard organization she held key positions such as ETSI NFV Vice Chair, IEEE SDN Chair, Editorial board member, 5G Americas key contributor and more recently co-chair of TIP (Telecom Infra Project) E2E network slicing project. Prior to HPE she worked in France Telecom/Orange labs in charge of Value Added Services for Corporate Enterprise. She holds a Master Degree in EE from Utah State University.
She is also teaching telecom in the master program of University Savoie-Mont Blanc in the French alps.
Yoshihiro Nakajima
Manager, Core Network Development Department, NTT DOCOMO
Yoshihiro joined NTT DOCOMO in 2017 as a manager within the Network Management and Orchestration Group, Core Network Development department.
Yoshihiro has led the development for commercial NFV infrastructure and MANO system for mobile core network system. Before joining NTT DOCOMO, Yoshihiro worked for several years in the research and academic sector in NTT Network Innovation Laboratories.
Yun Chao Hu
Senior Director Strategies, Standardization and Industry Development, Huawei Technologies Duesseldorf GmbH
Mr. Yun Chao Hu is employed by Huawei Technologies since March 2011 and works for the Huawei West-European Headquarter (HQ) located in Düsseldorf (Germany). His current function within Huawei is managing standardization and partnership strategies within the Industry Standards Department.
He is currently responsible for creating, managing and executing the Network Function Virtualization standardization strategies. In this role, he is leads the Huawei delegation within the ETSI ISG NFV standard activities and other NFV related organizations.
Yun Chao Hu was elected as the co-chair of the ETSI ISG NFV Architecture for the virtualized Infrastructure.
Mr. Yun Chao Hu was the Open IPTV Forum President and the Board Chairman from April 2007 till March 2011. He was very actively involved in the initiation of this forum which targets the development of the next generation IPTV providing end-users a completely new experience for their entertainment and communication services.
