As Arpit Joshipura explains. NFV's progress has been very dramatic for Dell as well as for the standards bodies, customers and the entire NFV ecosystem. However, he warns that NFV's momentum could be stalled if the "not-invented-here" syndrome,that did so much damage in the protocol wars of 15 years ago, is allowed to rear it's ugly head again. He says the way to ensure that the technology continues to accelerate is to allow vendors to collaborate with the entire NFV ecosystem.
