Diego has become chairman of the ETSI NFV ISG. He tells Guy Daniels that the ISG has come a long way in a short time and has more than achieved what it set out to do. It has now obtained an additional two year extension of life from ETSI. Diego explains why it is important now for the NFV ISG to incorporate 5G into its discussions and analysis for the coming NFV release, since NFV is now recognised as an essential enabling technology for 5G.
