Presentation
While mmWave technology was taken up by standardization organizations including 3GPP and is being deployed commercially, THz technology is the obvious next target. Research has progressed substantially in the field of THz technology and the time is right to start considering it in ETSI. In this talk, various aspects of THz technology are being discussed, including the physical basics (propagation modelling, delay profiles, etc.) as well as transceiver architecture and RF component technology. The objective is to trigger the set-up of a related initiative in ETSI in the near term.
