HPE and the Digital in-store experience
Edge video analytics can be used by retails to improve their in-store service and augment it with digital services. HPE is demonstrating an example of such a service that could provide the blueprint for retail experiences of the future. The demo covers a heat map for people traffic analysis within a retail outlet; a threat detection application for stores using face recognition; and a customised shopping experience that uses a self-checkout kiosk combined with RFID technology to determine demographic information of the customer.
