DPDK offers order of magnitude throughput improvement

Robert tells Martyn Warwick that he's currently enjoying an order of magnitude improvement using the DPDK software. One of the big use cases is for building overlays on top of the traditional hardware. Without DPDK he says he couldn't achieve the performance necessary for NFV.
