SDN and NFV are transforming how the network can be built, with technology proven in the data centre being able to be applied to networking. Intel has a four-step approach to re-architect the network: Work with industry bodies to influence the new standards; promote its open networking platform architecture; work closely with its eco-system partners; and finally to bring all of this together and help the end customer move from a proof of concept phase to commercial deployment.
