No RAN is an Island: Jersey Telecom opens up

By Guy Daniels

Oct 9, 2014

The largest of the Channel Islands, Jersey is a country of just 100,000 inhabitants. As such, it poses challenges for its telecoms operator. Which is why JT is opening up its entire network to other companies, effectively turning the whole island into a telco lab. With an LTE-Advanced mobile network being deployed and an island-wide point-to-point FTTH gigabit network, Jersey offers the perfect environment for service development. In the third episode of TelecomTV's exclusive "Inside the Labs" series, Guy Daniels speaks to the team behind the initiative.

Featuring:

Mark Stuchfield, VP Strategy and Innovation, JT Lab
Marcus Irwin, Chief Engineer, JT
Dave Newbold, Chief Operating and Technology Officer, JT
