Connected driving solution helps steer insurance innovation at Allianz France

Sylvain Theveniaud, the MD of the accelerator business unit at the big insurance company Allainz France, explains how it uses telematics and other IoT technologies quickly to provide and deploy market solutions based on genuine and proven use cases. The unit pushes batches of ideas and innovations through the innovation accelerator system to test and analyse the commercial viability and usefulness of the solutions and those that are selected for further development are then subjected to a rigorous six-month acceleration process, the ultimate intent being to both disrupt, innovate, stir-up the market and worry competitors.
