MEC: Opening up radios - nothing like this has really happened before

Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) is an exciting development designed to push functions towards the edge of the network, says Andy. It sounds a lot like NFV but is sufficiently different for ETSI to see the value in creating a separate ISG for it.So it's certainly not an "anti-cloud thing" - rather it brings the cloud closer to the user and there is room for both.
