Intel is unlocking the lifesaving potential of the Internet of Things along with Fuhu, a leading innovator of high-tech consumer products for children and families. Together the two companies will bring the Intel Smart Clip to market, which can help prevent tragic accidents involving toddlers by using built-in sensors to alert a parent or caregiver’s mobile device if a baby’s car seat becomes unbuckled, too hot/cold, or remains fastened while the parent or caretaker falls out of range. The two companies announced at the 2015 Intel Developer Forum (IDF) that Fuhu will sell the device this year at leading retailers where nabi brand products are sold.
