Eyal Felstaine warns that while the global trend to network virtualisation is a global game-changer, the medium-term reality is that, for at least the next decade and possibly longer, carriers and operators will have to manage a hybrid network that is part physical and part virtual. This will be a major challenge. Meanwhile, a renewed focus on the vital importance of OSS will have huge implications for NFV orchestration.
