Vendors often wash a rose-tinted vision of network transformation across a broad canvas but pay lesser attention to the necessary details. Having a vision is one thing, being able to realise it is another. Even as virtualisation technologies mature the necessary changes in mindsets of some CSPs and vendors have not kept pace, and this is now causing pain and delay.
