NFV is a world that will happen

An early NFV deployment is being undertaken, with Telefónica's involvement, in Brazil. According to Francisco-Javier Ramon Salguero, Head of Network Virtualisation, Telefónica GCTO Unit, Telefónica I&D, the technology is proving itself flexible enough to deploy applications that previously simply weren't feasible. The last year, he tells Martyn Warwick, has seen people and groups who were previously working away by themselves on virtualisation, suddenly become aware of each other and to realise that they weren't crazy after all. NFV is now a world that will happen.
