TeliaSonera will continue to evolve its 4G network, but will eventually get to a point when the technology that LTE is based on is not enough. For example, low latency requirements. capacity and support for IoT. What's needed is a virtualised network, which will be a massive transition from today's layered network structure. But with a virtualised network, it no longer matters where the computer power resides in the network.
