Airspan awarded $42.7m NTIA grant to accelerate Open RAN tech development in the US

Boca Raton, Florida – Airspan Networks, a US based leader in wireless innovation and development, is proud to announce it has been awarded $42,729,740 from the Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund. This award, administered by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), reinforces Airspan’s commitment to driving U.S. leadership in next-generation wireless technologies.

This funding will accelerate Airspan’s efforts to advance Open RAN architecture by developing an extensible radio unit (O-RU) platform designed to integrate advanced features and maximize power efficiency and performance.
