Competitive broadband player MyRepublic has deployed its own private cloud running OpenStack to drive efficiency for their backend systems, including its subscriber management systems, voice infrastructure and BSS. The result is the ability to quickly deployed in new markets, including supporting MyRepublic’s entry into the Australian market in a matter of months. Group CIO Eugene Yeo shares his experience so far in working with OpenStack and its evolution to the future of containers, as well as how the technology will fit into the operator’s plans for NFV.
