NTT Docomo is a pioneer in Open RAN and now has a choice of three distributed unit (DU) vendors and four radio unit (RU) vendors for its commercial networks, dependent on deployment strategies. Interoperability testing is now accelerating, along with vendor compliance, which is helping telcos, such as Docomo, increase its Open RAN capabilities.
