Hillsboro, Oregon – Radisys® Corporation, a global leader of open telecom solutions, today announced its collaboration with BridgeNET Communications, an emerging provider of broadband services with a history steeped in layer one construction, to expand BridgeNET into an internet service provider with open and flexible networking solutions and customer-focused support. Utilizing Radisys’ open-standards-based Connect Open Broadband portfolio of flexible broadband solutions and integration expertise, Radisys has enabled BridgeNET to efficiently transition from a Layer 1 construction company to an internet service provider with Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment proficiency.

While transitioning into a digital service provider, BridgeNET sought a partner capable of providing extensive support and guidance as well as experience and knowledge with Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment management. Radisys was able to provide extensive support through BridgeNET’s transformation, working collaboratively through every step of the process to ensure that BridgeNET had insight into its network capabilities and was fully equipped to take advantage of the open-source, flexible tools offered in Radisys’ Connect Open Broadband portfolio.

Creating a Symbiotic Collaboration through Extensive Customer-Focused Support
Radisys has supported BridgeNET extensively through various levels of its operation establishment, offering guidance and training on hardware and software tools for seamless integration with BridgeNET’s OSS/BSS and efficient service activations for BridgeNET’s customers. Through Radisys’ customer-focused service approach and efficient integration process that extends beyond the supply chain, BridgeNET has been able to efficiently transform into a digital service provider, gaining extensive knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 equipment.

Flexible and Efficient Tools with Seamless Service Turn-Up
Connect Open Broadband’s open architecture, open platforms, and open source APIs enable BridgeNET’s in-house developers to integrate their own tools while taking advantage of open source capabilities and gaining deeper insight into their network. The deployment process with Radisys’ cloud-native Connect Broadband Access Controller (CBAC) intelligent software platform is now incredibly efficient, simplifying service activations and improving flexibility using the software tools from Radisys. Additionally, the Radisys Management System (RMS) provides enhanced network features like performance and fault management, analytics and reporting applications, to increase the efficiency of network management and meet customer needs.

“Radisys has provided our organization with an unparalleled level of support that you don’t receive from other vendors,” said Taylor Brown, Founder and CEO, BridgeNET Solutions. “Radisys helped us overcome every hurdle and demonstrated a level of expertise that made BridgeNET’s transition from a primarily construction company to an internet service provider into an efficient and streamlined process.”

"We are pleased with this opportunity to partner with BridgeNET Communications as it bridges the digital divide for rural customers," said Harris Razak, Head of Broadband Access and   Americas Sales, Radisys. "Radisys’ Connect Open Broadband solution is perfectly suited for rural deployments, providing robust and operationally efficient networks that expedite new service introduction. With Radisys’ open interfaces and solutions, we are confident that BridgeNET can deploy complete end-to-end broadband solutions with the built-in flexibility to serve their rural customers cost-effectively well into the future."
