Malini Bhandaru, Principal Engineer, Cloud Architect, Intel Corporation

Cloud Native is all about building applications for the cloud from the very outset of any project - be they for enterprise or public clouds. Meanwhile, applications are being containerised and OpenStack is now treating containers as first order priorities. However, for Big Data some organisations may not want to use hypervisors or containers but would prefer to have bare metal. Malini Bhandaru says that it is a very positive sign that OpenStack now regards containers, bare metal and virtual machines as of vital components of equal importance to Cloud Native.
