Current OSS is ‘read only’, SDN will move it on

Stefan Wallin, Director of Product Strategy, Tail-F, tells Martyn Warwick that today’s OSS are ‘read-only’ systems. So SDN will be a boon and change everything in OSS because it will create a programmable, automated network without the need for any humans to be typing and clicking and generally intervening. SDN controllers need to be able to change the network, which is what OSS doesn’t do now.
