In response to its customer requirements, Infinera adapted OpenFlow and other interfaces to configure parts of the transport layer, as well as the IP layer. But whilst the smaller, more innovative telcos in Asia Pacific, are looking at creative uses for SDN, it's the OTT providers in the data centre space that are leading the way.
