How telcos can use NFV to face the OTT challenge

Procera is seeing several transformations in the NFV space. For example, fixed operators are able to transform their CPE infrastructure into a virtual environment, allowing them to drive down costs and become more agile with their differentiated service deployment. Also, mobile operators can deploy intelligence more pervasively across their networks, creating a richer subscriber experience. Perhaps more importantly, telcos can use NFV to effectively change their infrastructure and how they handle and respond to OTT traffic, providing them with better visibility into that traffic to create new unique services.
