Using SDN to provide orchestrated managed LAN solutions

Many SMEs want to hand off the management of their LANs, which is where SDN solutions can be effective. A cloud-hosted controller runs the switches and provides an API which service providers can then integrate and orchestrate these manage networks, providing an automated means to scale to large numbers of separate LANs.
Additionally, Tallac sees the access network extending further, all the way to the RF hub, such as wi-fi points on the LAN. Once you do this, a provider will want to move the services that normally sit at the gateway function at the CPE back into the cloud in the data centre, to be able to scale and deploy more services, which is where NFV fits in.
