The industry is still converging on best practice and ways to make SDN and NFV work, Kevin tells Martyn Warwick, so openness is crucial. First and foremost, openness breeds collaboration and that is how the industry will converge to realisable, deployable solutions: through multiple CSPs, equipment and software vendors coming together to produce workable SDN/NFV solutions for CSP networks.
