Maria Cuevas, networks research director and distinguished engineer at BT, told TelecomTV at Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona how the telco is exploring the use of innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML) and quantum key distribution (QKD), to make its networks more agile and efficient. She also offered an overview of the importance of these technologies for the broader telco industry, and highlighted other focus areas in her networks research.
