With Facebook now a member of the TM Forum, Markku outlines why the social network is looking for more carrier partners for internet.org, an important plank in Facebook's mission to "make the world more connected."
He says telcos have to change how they think about growth. The usual telco model is to monetize first - Facebook does it the other way around with people tempted online for free and monetized once properly engaged. He explains how this dynamic might work for telco partners. The more people connected to the Internet, he says, the better it gets.
