2G, 3G, 4G, 5G - you see the pattern? Mobile is a generation game, with a new generation coming along, with the precision of a Swiss watch, every ten years. You can’t escape it. Just as you can’t escape the calls for us to abandon this generational approach - we’ve been moaning about it for years. And whilst we may see 5G as a big deal this year, the launch of 3G was an even bigger and more significant moment for the mobile industry.
