In Juniper Research’s 2017 A2P Messaging report, Syniverse was named the largest A2P provider globally with a 14.6 percent market share. In addition, Syniverse was the highest scored vendor in the report being rated highly across 10 A2P-specific criteria.
Syniverse’s IPX ranked first in ROCCO Research’s independent, global ‘IPX Networks Vendor Performance’ report that is based on how mobile operators rated IPX vendors in the market. Syniverse was listed as a top vendor in the following categories: understanding roaming, intelligence about compatibility issues, connectivity options, peering with other IPX, speed of connection to new roaming partners, readiness for VoLTE/VoWiFi, support for network functions virtualization, network reporting and monitoring, global presence, and brand awareness.
Syniverse was named as an established leader in the ‘2017 Mobile Messaging report’ by Juniper Research for IP messaging, operator messaging and enterprise mobile messaging services.
The Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America awarded Syniverse with two PRestige Awards in the categories of ‘Business-to-Business Initiatives, Products and Services’ and ‘Best Reputation/Brand Management’ for dispelling the industry’s hype around technologies like 5G.
Juniper Research ranked Syniverse as the highest performing vendor in its ‘Mobile Roaming: Regulations, Opportunities, Emerging Sectors 2017 to 2022’ report, which scored roaming providers according to marketing strength, operations and global reach, IoT roaming services, and future business prospects.
Syniverse won a MarCom Award in the category of ‘Strategic Communications’ for designing a campaign to help mobile operators navigate the world of LTE. For the campaign, Syniverse leveraged the data running across its IPX network to give operators insight into global roaming traffic trends. The data revealed that LTE is still a distant reality despite the industry’s hype on next-generation technologies like 5G.
Syniverse won a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Silver Anvil Award in the category of Reputation/Brand Management in recognition of its “Mobile Privacy Predicament” campaign that debuted at Mobile World Congress 2016 to create a compelling case for operators and brands to take consumer concerns around privacy and security seriously.
Global Telecoms Business awarded Syniverse and Roshan Afghanistan with an Innovation Award in recognition of their collaboration to advance the industry’s ability to protect operators’ revenues from the growing threats of mobile roaming fraud and revenue leakage.
Total Telecom recognized Syniverse as a finalist at the 2016 World Communication Awards in the category of “Vendor Innovation Award” for its advancements in making VoLTE roaming possible. The acknowledgment comes after Syniverse helped operators launch the world’s first VoLTE roaming call and service.

Syniverse was shortlisted for the 2016 GLOTEL Awards in the category of “Advancing the Road to 5G” for enabling operators to provide subscribers with high-quality services through VoLTE roaming. The technology sets the foundation for operators to use their VoLTE infrastructure to build out new services and solutions, including video, RCS-based services, wearables and 5G.
For the third consecutive year, Syniverse CEO Steve Gray has been appointed to the Global Telecoms Business (GTB) Power100 list, which includes the most powerful, influential people in the telecommunications industry. Steve was selected for his leadership in the industry to advance technologies within VoLTE roaming and mobile marketing.
