New management team for T-Mobile Netherlands

Jun 15, 2016: On May 26th, T-Mobile Netherlands announced its new strategy for the coming three years for both Business-to-Business and Consumer. The strategy, co-designed and supported by a long term investment program of the mother company Deutsche Telekom, capitalizes on the mobile digitization of society. The Mobile First strategy provides T-Mobile with a clear differentiating positioning and accelerated growth path towards the future in the Dutch market. Inspired by T-Mobile USA, a new brand strategy ‘Live Forward’ and bold product line has been launched to provide a clear answer for the market challenges in the Dutch market. Supported by the recent completion of ‘the best mobile network’, now a solid foundation for profitable growth has been laid out for the future.

“My team and I have completed an important phase in the business and organizational transformation of T-Mobile Netherlands. It is now up to a new management team to accelerate the new strategy and bring this company to the next level,” says Mark Klein, Managing Director of T-Mobile.

Mark Klein will, after completion of his assignment, return to Germany in September this year. He will join the German insurance company ERGO Group AG, were he will be driving the digital transformation of ERGO Group AG in Germany and internationally as Chief Digital Officer. A new CEO will be announced in due time.

Deutsche Telekom announces the appointment of Martin Knauer who will be leading the T-Mobile Netherlands Consumer business as of July 1. Martin (52) currently serves as Managing Director of Telekom Deutschland’s second brand Congstar. Since 1996, he has held various management positions within the Deutsche Telekom Group, including Marketing Director and member of the Management Board of T-Mobile Deutschland and Senior Vice President ICT Business Europe. Martin succeeds Marco Kind who has been the Director Consumer since 2012 for T-Mobile.

Deutsche Telekom has appointed the Dutchman Rachid El Hattachi as the new Chief Technology Information Officer (CTIO) for T-Mobile Netherlands. Rachid (42) is a telecommunications expert and manager with more than 15 years of experience in mobile and fixed communications. He has been with Deutsche Telekom for numerous years and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President Technology Architecture, Innovation & Engineering. Rachid follows Lampros Iskos who has found a new career opportunity in his home country Greece.

Robert Jelinek-Nacke, currently Vice President Free Cash Flow and Operating Working Capitals at Deutsche Telekom will be the ad interim CFO for 6 months. Succeeding Freddy Dijkman who has been the CFO since 2012 for T-Mobile.

Marieke Snoep, who has been newly appointed as Director for end to end Business to Business in May 2015, will continue her role in the Executive Committee of T-Mobile. Deutsche Telekom will enhance their efforts in growing a strong B2B FMC-presence in the Netherlands.
