Ping Identity and Accenture deliver advanced identity and access management solution to help organizations easily secure, manage and protect cloud-based applications

New Managed Services Offering Combines Accenture’s Leading Cloud Capabilities with Ping IAM Expertise

DENVER Nov. 8, 2017 – Ping Identity, the leader in identity defined security, today announced it is working with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to enable organizations to quickly and efficiently move their business applications and infrastructure to the cloud, while also enhancing security and permission control through advanced identity and access management (IAM) services.

Organizations often face deployment- and infrastructure-related barriers limiting their ability to transition on-premise applications to the cloud. To help address this issue, Ping and Accenture have designed a rapidly deployable, single-tenant IAM managed services solution that provides a high degree of security and flexibility for enterprise hybrid IT environments. This streamlines the cloud adoption process and provides a viable solution for companies looking to replace their legacy IAM systems.

“Identity is the linchpin for organizations making the transition from legacy to modern infrastructure,” said Loren Russon, VP Product Management, Ping Identity. “Our offering marries Accenture’s cloud and security acumen with Ping’s IAM expertise to deliver a fully automated, single-tenant IAM solution that reduces the time and cost to deploy while increasing the flexibility and security of a deployment.”

With the combination of Ping Identity’s PingOne cloud services and Accenture’s Velocity Identity Program (VIP), organizations can deploy an automated and flexible IAM managed services solution that will effectively eliminate the thousands of manual steps that are typically involved with IAM software setup and maintenance in a high-scale, enterprise-grade, hybrid-cloud environment. Additionally, the key capabilities of the solution will be integrated with the Accenture Cybersecurity Engine (ACE) and will enable clients to accelerate the integration of their identity data management services into their broader security architecture. ACE is a cloud-based platform that gives organizations the power to provision, manage, assess, monitor and defend their organization’s security assets, efficiently and effectively.

“With the acceleration of cloud-based applications, it is getting harder for organizations to verify the identity of users accessing workloads from multiple locations and devices, and block access to confidential data,” said Rex Thexton, managing director, Digital Identity, Accenture Security. “We view Ping as a leading vendor in the identity management market and believe that together we can deliver a secure, centralized approach to managing user identities.”

Accenture will present the session titled “Best of Both Worlds: Enterprise IAM Managed for You in the Cloud” at this year’s IDENTIFY conferences taking place in New York on November 8 and San Francisco on November 15. The discussion will explore how enterprises can move business applications and infrastructure quickly and efficiently to the cloud through the new solution.
