Now that once futuristic technologies such as NFV and AI are being implemented for real, is the transformed network an end in itself or will evolution continue? Certainly, Wojciech Dziunkowski thinks it will. He says there is no indication that digital communications are entering an evolutionary cul de sac and that networks will continue to develop and advance in ways and with technologies we are unable to predict now. He also believes that future evolution will take full advantage of open source platforms because they can drive innovation across the global industry. He also explains the concept of intelligent assurance in the transformed network and the benefits it brings to the operator community.
