Mark Gibson, Co-Chair, Application Committee, MEF & Director of Product Management, Amdocs OSS, Amdocs
Part I: Mark Gibson says that Zero Touch Automation is the process of taking human interaction out of day-to-day network operations to make the running and management of the network as automatic as possible. He believes it’s a concept which has been in existence for decades and has been thrown back into focus because of NFV and the general perception that the technology would quickly be applied in commercial networks with almost immediate benefits and gains to CSPs and their customers alike. Those benefits have not yet been delivered and the result has been a close re-examination of what automation means in the transformed network.
