Making the investment in zero touch automation is going to be key to its success, as CSPs look towards next generation architectures with incredible complex infrastructure components. Being able to administrate these types of complex infrastructures is a losing proposition unless you're able to automate the majority of it. Whilst open source will play an important role in the development of ZTA, open source is proving quite difficult to deploy and maintain for so-called “day two” operations, and it requires the stability and support that comes with commercial software. It is the combination of the two that will provide CSPs with the strongest proposition for ZTA.
