Helmut Zürner, Senior Manager, Virtual Network Products Europe, Verizon
Verizon launched its zero touch provisioning capability last year, which is helping its customers to have more control about how they receive services, gaining efficiencies by deciding what is the right time to deploy a service; they no longer have to wait for a Verizon engineer. Whilst one of the strongest drivers for CSPs to adopt zero touch is to optimise their internal processes in order to launch new services faster, the other major factor is to provide a unique customer experience by helping them to optimise their own business processes. The definition of zero touch is expanding to now include operational aspects across a full end-to-end service chain.
